Hoover High School, Alabama’s top football program, continues to shine in every game. Most recently, the Buccaneers closed their regular season up with a 29-7 win against Opelika in a heavily one sided match.
Jumping out to an early 15-0 lead in the first quarter, Hoover pressed more and more in the rematch of last year’s championship game.
The Bucs found the endzone in both of their first two possessions. First, Jack Hutcheson found Alex Elam for a 24-yard touchdown, followed by Bradrick Shaw’s six yard rush crossing the goal line.
Shaw added on two more touchdowns in the second half from one and six yards out. The running back finished with 131 yards and three touchdowns in 28 carries.
Finishing their season undefeated at 10-0, Hoover holds the 11th rank in the DigitalSports National Football Rankings.
The Buccaneers advance to the playoff, looking to win Alabama’s Class 6A championship yet again.
